Category Manager – Masterbatch and Additives

Overall purpose of the role
The right candidate will get the opportunity to fundamentally change how we do sourcing and get commercially challenged in an organization welcoming change.
The role is accountable for implementing the Group Sourcing strategic goals for the area of responsibility and successfully managing relevant KPIs regarding cost savings, sustainability, productivity, and compliance metrics.
The sourcing process includes setting and implementing a rolling 18-month project plan with activities that covers the procurement levers.The position is based in either Malmö or Gothenburg, with approximately 30–40 travel days per year, primarily within Europe. You’ll be part of a flat organizational structure, reporting directly to the Indirect Sourcing Manager, who in turn reports to the CPO on our management team.
Your main responsibilities and tasks will include, but not be limited to:
Develop and implement a category strategy, set and implement a playbook for the category -including but not limited to the following levers:
- Compete the business through sourcing projects
- Develop competition
- Reduce and optimize consumption
- Optimize how we work with the category in our plants:
- – Establish clear structure and process for ordering
- – Define governance and pricing strategy
- – Follow up on supplier performance
- Drive all commercial activities within the category, including sustainability and HRDD initiatives
- Lead and execute sourcing projects within the category
- Manage KPIs related to cost savings, sustainability, productivity, and compliance
- Handle supplier relationship and risk management
Your background and personal traits
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic purchasing; consultant experience is also considered advantageous.
- Strong project management and analytical skills, with a proven track record of driving improvement initiatives.
- Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset with a technical interest.
- Proven track record of successful change management projects.
- University degree, preferably within Business, Economics and/or Engineering.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Service-oriented and autonomous with a strong drive for results.
- Communicative team player who thrives on reaching ambitious targets.
