About the Position

We are looking for an Indirect spend manager to take charge of our indirect spend, developing robust strategies and priorities for OX2’s indirect sourcing needs. This role covers a diverse range of procurement categories, focusing on, but not limited to, technical consultants and law firms, IT, HR, and marketing.

  • As Indirect spend manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Leading procurement activities and securing framework agreements in prioritized areas.
  • Developing and implementing sourcing strategies, policies, and processes.
  • Introducing and managing procurement tools and systems that align with business needs.
  • Driving demand management across the organization.
  • Leading significant negotiations, implementing price benchmarks, analyzing spend data, and conducting follow-up and reporting to track progress and savings.
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders across different departments and countries to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
  • Contributing to the overall development and maturity of the procurement function within OX2.

This role is based in Stockholm, Sweden and reports to the Head of Procurement, located in Helsinki/Finland.

Desired Profile

To excel in this role, we are seeking a candidate who brings strong organizational skills and is ready to apply their procurement expertise in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in indirect procurement, with a preference for candidates with around 10 years of experience, demonstrating an upward career trajectory.
  • Proven experience in analyzing spend data, negotiating contracts, and implementing purchasing policies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics, Industrial Engineering & Management, or a related field.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Swedish is a plus.
  • A self-driven individual who can independently develop proposals, seek necessary approvals, and proactively drive their agenda.
  • A collaborative yet assertive approach, capable of advocating effectively for procurement needs in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
  • Ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders (approximately 30-40), including country managers, development leads, transaction managers, and department heads across various countries.

Current Environment and Expectations

In this role, you will need to be proactive and hands-on. The focus will be on driving initiatives independently and handling procurement that is often reactive due to new project demands. You should be comfortable working without a direct team, instead being a part of the broader procurement team, and you must be prepared to advocate for your strategies and priorities.
